While Rob got on with some household DIY (mending the shower, making a cupboard door etc.) I decided to tackle a more fun painting project! We picked up this vintage wooden tricycle from a fantastic shop in Brixton called Brixti when Jonah was still a babe in arms with much anticipation for how he would fall in love with it!
However, when I got it home I realised it really was a bit too shabby and splintered to be safe for a little one. So we sanded it all down until we had a totally smooth finish and then I used paint (that we already had for other jobs: grey for the front door and yellow for the kitchen cupboard) to spruce it up a bit. Because the paints are both eggshell it takes a long time to dry so I haven't quite finished it tonight but you can see it is nearly there!
