We decided that Day 3 would be a full day out and see how that tested
the challenge! We had been invited to a very special friend's party in
New Cross in the evening so we decided to minimise travel spend for the
day and just got a return Overground ticket from Crystal Palace to New
Cross Gate (£1.40 per person each way - £5.80 total spend).
As
we arrived in NXG it started to rain. A lot. So we made an unscheduled
stop at our friend's house to shelter and have a cuppa. If it hadn't
been £50 week we would probably have gone to a cafe and got a coffee but
it was so lovely to see our friend instead, not to mention free! It
also gave Jonah a chance to stretch his legs and break up the time he
was strapped into the pushchair.
